Why?

Zachary is so unique in everything he does! I stand amazed at how he plays and comes up with all sorts of things that entertain us and keep giving us answers to the question of "why God?"

So the story starts with Zachary going for a bike ride outside with Victor on his big new three wheel bike. After returning from the bike ride, I hear Zachary (from upstairs) saying "Ava Marie's pink tricycle." As Zachary does, he says things several times until someone responds or acknowledges that we hear him. So after hearing this several times, I went to see what he was talking about and this is what I saw. Zachary "riding" Ava's tricycle down the stairs with a huge grin. Oh, and listenting to music on his headphones at the same time.





Not long after this picture was taken, there he was laying so peacefully on the couch taking a nap. For those of you who know Zachary, naps have never been part of his routine. It is a time like this that I have all of the answers to that question of "Why God?" Why...because His works are wonderful and Zachary is wonderfully made! Psalm 139:14

Ava is 11 Months Old!

It is hard to believe that Ava is just one month shy of a year old! Each day brings something new to her world and certainly to the lives of each of us. She is crawling, pointing, talking, pulling up, walking along the couch, laughing, saying a few words (dog, dada, papa, etc.) and so much more. She is also starting to favor certain toys over others and makes it very clear when you take something from her or when she can't get what she wants. The toy she has in these pictures is her newest favorite. She can actually crawl all over the place with this "little person" in her mouth. She loves her bath and screams when it is over. Then she tries to join Zachary for his as soon as she hears the water come on. We thank God everyday for bringing this beautiful blessing into our lives.

Zachary Secretin Update

Zachary has been on the new form of the Secretin (still the transdermal) and there seems to be some difference in his behavior. He seems more agitated when things don't go the way he wants them to go. On the positive side, he is reading more and will stay with an activity longer. An example of this was watching Wipe Out with Victor last Tuesday. He actually sat with him for the full hour and laughed at parts of it. This is a rare event for Zachary. He is typically more interested in watching something in fastforward or rewind. For those of you who have not watched Wipe Out, it is very funny.

Prayers Answered

We are very thankful to everyone who was praying for Zachary. A solution to the secretin supply has been found. It will require changing the type of secretin and a little more cost to us but we are so blessed that Zachary will not have to be without it.
