My Poet Jacob

Victor and I are amazed at our son Jacob who is apparently a poet! He wrote these this week for an English assignment. We are also so proud that he was selected as 6th grade student of the week and for the school wide science fair. Way to go Jacob! We love you.

Can You Imagine…

Birds who don’t fly,
And chickens without thighs,
Birds who don’t chirp,
And babies who don’t burp,
A cabinet without a door,
And a hog that’s not a boar,
People without arms,
And lions who don’t harm,
Fiction books that are true,
And nonfiction books that aren’t true,
A dog without a cage,
And a book without a page.

Can You Vision…

A man without eyes,
And men who don’t die,
A dog without food,
And football fans who don’t boo,
A wedding without rings,
And a chicken without wings,
People without hearts,
And robots without parts,
A woman without a brain,
And tracks without a train,
Animals without heads,
And a mattress without a bed.
